Memory Drive

You are invited to the 

Del Amigo Memory Drive

Wednesday, June 10th, 10:30-11:00 AM. 

(Don’t be late, the route will be closed promptly)

Wear your cap and gown, and bring your diploma and diploma cover if you already have it. 

There will be a photo opportunity.

Route:

  • Enter and exit through the driveway gates to Del Amigo Rd.                         route photo

Stop 1 - Surprise item distribution - Student stays in the car. Items will be passed through your window.

Stop 2 - Surprise item distribution - Student stays in the car. Items will be passed through your window.

Stop 3 - Diploma distribution - Student exits the car to pick up diploma from the table. All others stay in the vehicle. Student walks to Stop 4.  **Students that graduated prior to May have already received their diploma and should bring it with them if they want it for the photo opportunity.**

Stop 4 - Del Amigo Banner - Student photo opportunity - A passenger in the vehicle may take the picture from the vehicle or a staff member will take a photo and email it home. Driver stays in the vehicle at all times.

Instructions for Families:

  1. Enclosed cars/vans/SUV only. No bicycles, motorcycles or foot traffic in the memory drive.
  2. Place sign with student’s name in large print on the passenger side of the windshield.
  3. Student must be driven by someone else in the family. Student should sit in the passenger seat for easy exit/entrance to vehicle at stop with photo op.
  4. Only family members from same household can be in the car.
  5. Only students can exit the car at Stops 3 & 4. All others stay in the car the whole drive.
  6. After Stop 4 no one exits the vehicle and the car does not stop.  Please continue forward and exit the parking lot.
  7. Drive slowly throughout. Teachers and staff will be there to cheer you on. 

Congratulations Graduates!

Memory Drive has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 10th 10:30-11:00am.  We wanted to communicate more information so we can have a safe, and memorable Memory Drive event! Please remember:

  • Memory Drive is between 10:30-11:00 AM.  You may show up anytime during that window, gates will be closed promptly at 11:00 AM.  
  • Obey traffic laws and follow the directions of staff and police to ensure we have a safe event. 
  • Per CCC Shelter in Place Order every participant must be in a fully enclosed motorized vehicle.  All occupants of each enclosed vehicle are members of a single household. For clarity, an enclosed vehicle does not include a motorcycle, a convertible with the top open, a vehicle with no doors, or bicycle. No riding in the bed of trucks.
  • Only one car per Del Amigo Graduate. The car must be driven by a member of the household, not the student. No oversized vehicles, limos.  
  • Students and families are NOT to participate in the memory drive if they are sick (if they have a new cough, complaints of sore throat, or shortness of breath, or have a fever of 100°F or above).  
  • No other students or guests are allowed to participate in the memory drive, this is for graduates and their immediate household only.
  • Feel free to decorate your car.
  • Graduates are encouraged to wear their Cap and Gown!  There is a photo opportunity.  
  • Have your GRADUATE sit in the passenger seat with their NAME taped on the front passenger side of windshield, so they can interact with staff and participate in our interactive stations. 
  • All participants in the memory drive must wear cloth face coverings.
  • After you stop at the photo station, you will exit the parking lot. 

Most importantly, please refer to these guidelines from our County for Health precautions! 

CCHS Guidance for spring 2020 school graduation ceremonies in light of the current Contra Costa County Shelter in Place Order. Note the following:
  • “For the purposes of this Order, a Highly Regulated Vehicle-Based Gathering is a gathering where, during the entirety of the gathering, every participant, excluding the Host, Personnel, and security, except as expressly provided herein, remains in a fully enclosed motorized vehicle parked at least six feet apart from other vehicles and where all occupants of each enclosed vehicle are members of a single householdFor clarity, an enclosed vehicle does not include a motorcycle, a convertible with the top open, a vehicle with no doors, or bicycle.
